The two parts of the model, enlarged 4X, fit together to display the exterior features of the nose, and separate to reveal the many details of the interior. The right half shows the nasal septum with vasculature, olfactory nerve filaments, nasopalatine nerve, soft and hard palate, uvula, and the floor of the cranium. The left half shows the nostril, olfactory nerve and bulb, outer olfactory filaments, sphenopalatine ganglion, sinuses, vessels, pharyngeal orifice of the eustachian tube, and nasal conchae, with the dissected inferior concha showing the turbinate and tear duct. The two models are mounted on rotatable stands on a common base and come with a key identifying 32 structures
