Chemistry teacher, Stephen Freedman, uses this demonstation at Halloween.

  • Grades 8 to 12
Two solutions, A and B, are created with ammonium bicarbonate, hydrogen peroxide, sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate luminol and copper II sulfate. Mix the solutions together and a dramatic blue glow appears, which is very eerie, especially in a darkened room.

Ordering information: Needed but not included is distilled water. Includes 10 demonstrations and instructions.
