My lab has quite a few support rods that are supposed to be exactly 0.5" in diameter. Of course, they were acquired at different times over the years, so some are larger than their stated diameter. The only real problem with that came when we had to use 0.5" hook collars. They didn't fit all of the supports. This 19mm easily fit the 0.5" rods. Problem solved. My only complaint is that the hooks do not all tighten to the same relative position.
