An exciting, hands-on experience in studying genetics and chromosomes. Using carefully selected photomicrographs of chromosome spreads, students cut out, identify, match and sort pairs of individual chromosomes, then glue or tape them onto a karyotyping form. They begin by building karyotypes from normal chromosome spreads, then use the other spreads to analyze for genetic disorders, just like they do in hospital labs. Includes: a pad of 30 worksheets with a particular chromosome spread, a pad of 30 karyotyping forms, and comprehensive student and teacher instructions with a key sheet.
