- Series of Five Models Show the Effects of High Blood Pressure
- Removable Models for Close Study
- Both Healthy and Damaged Organs Displayed
Mounted on a display stand are miniature models of the brain, eye, heart, kidney, and artery. The brain model is segmented for full view of internal and external features, and the eye model is cut-away to show optic nerve, disc, retina, macula, and more. The two-piece model of the heart opens in half to illustrate the inner chambers and valves of the heart. A longitudinal section of the right kidney and adrenal gland highlights the renal artery and vein, major and minor calyx, interlobular artery and vein, and ureter.
In addition, a Y section of an artery highlights gradual build-up of cholesterol deposits. All models can be removed from the stand for closer study. An attached key card features illustrations and descriptions of effects on the model organs due to hypertension including glaucoma, arterial plaque, kidney failure, and stroke.
