As students engage in the activities, they apply integrated process skills. Students craft fair test procedures, create meaningful data displays, make reasonable and data-supported reports, and analyze their collected data in light of the problem at hand.
The set includes enough material to build 11 vehicles up to four at a time. It supports 12 to 16 students working in teams and is for grades five through nine. Building instructions and a comprehensive teacher's guide aligned to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Standards are also included.
