Koch’s postulates, a four-step procedure which proves that certain bacteria produce specific diseases, can be employed to illustrate how a particular fungus causes disease on a piece of fruit. With this lab activity and oranges you supply, students follow the steps that Robert Koch derived in 1876, to connect a microorganism to a disease.
