Using Nasonia vitripennis, a tiny wasp that does not sting humans, students will examine its effectiveness as a form of biological pest control against Sarcophaga, also known as the flesh fly. Students will then compare these results to a chemical control agent to determine the pros and cons of each method. In addition, your students will be introduced to the topic of insect life cycles.
