Yes, I recommend
James Castner's Photographic Atlas of Entomology and Guide to Insect Identification is one of the best entomology books I've seen. The photo's of the insects are large, clear, and colorful. It is informative and covers all the basic information that first-time students need. I'd also recommend this to anyone at home who wants to learn about the insects that live around them. Kudos Mr. Castner!

Designed specifically for college students in general entomology and insect taxonomy courses, this atlas features over 600 color photos that illustrate the structural characteristics and anatomical features of the major insect families and arthropod groups. In addition to the photos that cover approximately 190 different arthropod taxa, the guide also contains explanations and illustrations of external anatomy and insect development. Dichotomous keys to the family level for major orders and a glossary of specialized terms make this thorough reference a necessity for any entomologist.
