SYBR Green I DNA Stain, Lonza

Use this fluorescent dye to detect DNA that is more sensitive and less mutagenic than standard stains, like Ethidium Bromide (EtBr). Ideal for PCR, apoptosis, and heteroduplex analysis, the SYBR Green stain provides a great signal to noise ratio with minimal background. Detect as little as 60pg dsDNA and 1ng oligonucleotides in agarose and polyacrylamide gels with this formulation. Stain is supplied as a 10,000X concentrated solution in DMSO with ten 50ul tubes to prevent repetitive freeze thaw cycles. Lamps and UV transilluminators are required to visualize the stained DNA, but not included. Note: -20°C storage required.
