Demonstrate the Stirling Design External Combustion Engine with our 18×11 cm working model.
The Stirling engine currently is being re-examined as a practical source of power because of its adaptability to almost any fuel.
First produced in the 1800’s as a non-electric fan and an automatic hot air water pump, the engine soon became obsolete due to its lack of sufficient power when compared to the newly developed combustion engine.
Any fuel can be used with our model, but denatured alcohol is suggested for clean operation.
The book Stirling Cycle Engines by Andy Ross and an owner's manual are included.
