Natural bone. A beautiful preparation of the genus Pseudemys, the ligamentary preparation shows the coracoid-acromial ligaments of the pectoral girdle, which is not included in nonligamentary preparations. The plastron is removed and attached to the back of the carapace to show internal skeletal detail, including the fusion of the dorsal vertebrae and ribs into the plastron. The hyoid, phalanges, and digits are also featured. It is mounted upright on a wooden base and attached by a clear plexiglas support. It includes a key identifying 39 structures.
