BD Vacutainer® Safety-Lok® Blood Collection Sets, BD Diagnostics

Blood collection sets consist of a 1.9cm (³/₄") needle and a multi-sample Luer adapter, connected by a 17.8cm (7") or 30.5cm (12") length of tubing

Needles feature a Safety-Lok® protective shield to reduce needlestick risk. A translucent shield shows blood flashback clearly and locks retracted needle into place after use. Luer adapter allows specimen collection from a “closed system.” Sets are supplied sterile and are slim and easy to handle, with larger wing size for improved positioning during use. Safety-Lok® shields are designed to meet current OSHA safety standards for engineering controls. Needles are available with a pre-attached holder.
