Used together or separately, these three-dimensional sets provide effective demonstrations of cell reproduction and maturation. Students can visualize how a chromosome replicates as they construct diagrams of developing cells with colored beads and pipe cleaners. As they work through the demonstrations, they should begin to grasp some of the more difficult concepts of cell replication.
