This open design is similar to diagrams in most textbooks and makes it easy to study motor-related principles. Users can reverse magnets to change direction of the motor’s rotation. Users can also observe change of speed with current with an external rheostat (not included).

The lightweight motor can be used vertically or horizontally for experiments and demonstrations. It can be used with a 1.5V battery or external, user-provided power supply.
