Heat energy cannot be seen, but with this calorimeter featuring an aluminum transfer bar, students can observe heat transfer under a variety of different conditions by measuring the temperatures of the insulated containers before and after connecting them with the metal bar. You can also vary the experiment by using water of different temperatures, or unequal amounts of liquid.
