Fundamentals of Physics Loop Track

The versatile Loop Track helps students learn about acceleration and conservation of energy.

With this comparable experiment, students investigate how a roller coaster car can stay on the track when it travels in a large, circular loop.

Use a straight, 80 cm long portion of the track with a marble to investigate acceleration. The circular portion lets students experimentally determine the minimum velocity the marble needs to make one full trip around the loop.

The Photogate System, available separately, allows for simple calculations when used with the Loop Track.

This kit includes an activity manual. The Fun Stand is required but available separately.
