Coordination complexes are brightly colored compounds consisting of a central metal atom and ligand molecules, atoms, or ions. Synthesize and purify a lime-green coordination complex called potassium ferrioxalate trihydrate in this multi-step synthesis and optionally analzye the complex via UV-Visible spectrophotometry.
Ordering information: Required but not included: 150 ml Glass beakers, funnels, hot plate stirrers, magnetic stir bars, thermometers, distilled or deionized water, laboratory scale, 25 or 50 ml graduated cylinders, tongs or heat-resistant gloves, forceps, spatulas, ice bath, 500 ml glass beakers, cuvettes [optional], UV-Visible spectrophotometer [optional].
