Gray, fine-grained, massive contact rock.

White, very dark green, and very dark red to light red granoblastic intergrowth of wollastonite, diopside, and andradite.

Pink and gray bands, with biotite; shows good foliation.

Slaty cleavage; contains hematite.

Lustrous, black 'hard coal'.
